Research has shown that Distance Counseling is effective when the client and counselor are connected through video. To comply with HIPAA requirments, that video must be two-way encrypted. We use an approved video conferencing platform from SecureVideo for all of out clients who choose distance counseling. The advantages of being a distance client are clear. Travel, illness, and childcare do not interfere with your progress, since you can be anywhere that you can connect to the internet. The Services are encrypted once you access our "Virtual Waiting Room." Once you are logged in and ready, your counselor or coach will be notified and begin your session at your appointment time. For your safety, you can also choose to pay your fees through the waiting room payment option, rather than register your payment information with us. There are no additional fees associated with using SecureVideo for your counseling.
